The Peaks Interest account: invest a little more carefully

As an investor, you always run the risk of losing (part of) your investment. However, some investments are considered riskier than others. You can see this, for example, in the ready-made Peaks portfolios: the ‘Cautious’ portfolio has a lower risk rating than ‘Adventurous’.

With the Peaks Interest account, we also offer an option that's more cautious than ‘Cautious’. With the Interest account, you invest in a money market fund in exchange for an interest that follows the €STR: the interest rate that European banks give each other for very short-term loans.

The €STR rate is published daily by the European Central Bank (ECB). When the ECB changes the deposit rate, the €STR rate changes too – and with it the return on your Peaks Interest account.

Transferring investments to your Interest account

Do you invest in a Peaks portfolio or a portfolio that you have composed yourself, and would you like to (partially) transfer your investments to a Peaks Interest account? It's very easy to do in the app.

  1. Open your Peaks app and go to your Investment account.
  2. Select ‘Withdraw’ and choose your Interest account as the destination.
  3. Confirm the amount and the transaction will be processed.

Would you like to open an (additional) Interest account? You can do so in a few steps via the settings in the app.
